Privacy Policy

1. About AptitudeIE

AptitudeIE is an independent exam preparation application developed and operated by Auvorix (“we,” “our,” or “us”). AptitudeIE is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with An Garda Síochána or any official Irish government body. It is a third-party study tool designed to help candidates prepare for the Garda Síochána aptitude test.

2. Information We Collect

When you use AptitudeIE, we collect the following information:

Account Information

Your email address and display name, obtained via Google or Apple Sign-In (OAuth). We do not store your Google or Apple password.

User ID

A unique identifier derived from your Google or Apple account, used to associate your progress with your account.

App Activity

Your test results, section scores, and practice history. This data is stored to track your progress over time.

Device Token (optional)

If you enable notifications, we collect your device's push notification token to deliver reminders.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and maintain your account
  • To save and display your test progress and scores
  • To deliver push notifications (if enabled)
  • To manage your premium subscription status
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB, hosted in the North Europe region. All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). We implement industry-standard access controls to prevent unauthorised access to your data.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Sign-In

Used for authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Apple Sign-In

Used for authentication on iOS. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

Used to manage in-app purchases and premium subscriptions.

Microsoft Azure

Cloud infrastructure for data storage and API hosting.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To delete your account and all associated data, use the Delete Accountoption in the app's Settings screen, or visit auvorix.com/aptitude-ie/delete-account.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (profile, scores, progress) is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

AptitudeIE is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
